There was another big win for gay marriage today, as the Defense of Marriage Act was ruled unconstitutional by a Federal appeals court: http://nyr.kr/LKJ8mS
The reason I like this quote so much is that it doesn’t make it “women” vs. “men”—it’s trans* inclusive. (I wonder if the writers were intentionally being anti-cissexist/pro-trans*…probably not.)

You hold an Orientalist view that Middle Eastern women are forced to live in the home, being oppressed by wearing the veil/hijab/burka while churning out babies and being beaten by their husbands or honor killed by their male family?
